The former owners of our house did an amazing job choosing perennials because here we are on July 19th and still, a new variety of flower arrives every week. See Archive – Morning Walks for pictures of the garden flowers from earlier this season (daffodil, tulip, hyacinth, iris, rhododendron, lilac, peony… )
I’m hoping to add more variety, so I’ve been germinating seeds for the past two weeks – Four O’Clocks, Echinacea, Canterbury Bells, Lavender and Foxglove. We’ll have to see if they take because I thought for sure they would have sprouted by now. Thanks to my mom who ‘envisioned Morning Glory growing up around our mailbox,’ we’ve planted that as well.
