Apple Crisp without Flour & Sugar

Yesterday I made another crisp, only this time, I did it without flour and sugar.

Apple Crisp with a twist.

Recipe – Apple Crisp
20 Apples, peeled/cored/sliced
(I use a lot of apples, but the baking dish I use is roughly 10.5″ x 15.5″)
1/3 Cup Water
(I like my apples soft-cooked; adjust amount of water based on how juicy your apples are)
1 Cup Raisins
1 Cup Oats
1 Cup Walnuts
1 TBS Cinnamon
4 TBS Butter, melted

Preheat oven to 350°F.  Place sliced apples in baking dish and sprinkle with water.  Pulse raisins, oats, walnuts & cinnamon in a Cuisinart until they form a crumb texture.  Next, add the melted butter and pulse until the mixture forms a ball.  Crumble the mixture over the apples and bake for 1 hour.  This one is served with Honey Greek Yoghurt.

I also stumbled upon a very cool website called Orange Pippin.  It has detailed information on over 600 apple varieties and listings for over 2,000 apple orchards worldwide.
